Bernardsville ACME

Can anyone put names to the unidentified men in this 1948 photograph?  It was taken at the old ACME market on Mine Brook Road in Bernardsville, NJ.    Looks like they’re in the coffee aisle.

Three of the eight men are identified on a sticky note on the back:

Row 1 (front) – Minny Latino, Rudy Spagnola, Bill Gallo

Row 2 – ? , Jack Fitzgerald, ? , ?

Row 3 – ?

UPDATE [Aug. 10, 2026] Location was corrected to the old ACME market on Mine Brook Road in Bernardsville. Rudy Spagnola was identified and added to the names.

    1. Thanks Mike, I’ll add your dad to the description. And yes, the photo is from the old Acme on Mine Brook Rd. These men were Acme folks. I’ll update the post.

  1. Bill Gallo was my dad. I worked for Minnie Latino when I was in BHS back in 1969-71 in the produce section. Rudy Spagnolia was our neighbor.
