Historical Society Adds Online Exhibit to Website

The Historical Society of the Somerset Hills (THSSH) is excited to present its first online exhibit “The Natirar Estate and Kate Macy Ladd Convalescent Home” on their website THSSH.org. See Online Exhibit

Local resident and Ridge High School student, John Reynolds, worked with THSSH for his Eagle Scout project. John’s project focused on preserving an exhibit at the Brick Academy which was scheduled to be dismantled to make way for another showcase. Now, not only do temporary exhibits become permanent on the THSSH website, but they can be easily accessed by folks with disabilities in addition to reaching a wider audience, all from a computer. The online option includes closed caption audio description which allows deaf individuals to experience the exhibit. The visually impaired can expand the viewer on a computer monitor to enlarge the images. The goal is to make the entire museum ADA compliant.
