THHSH is again participating in the 1770s Festival hosted by the Somerset County Park Commission.  This year’s event will be held Sunday October 6, 2024, 11:30am to 4pm at Lord Stirling Park off Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge.   This family-friendly event features reenactors and demonstrations of colonial arts and crafts.

Note: This event is hosted by Somerset County.  All questions should be directed to them at 908-722-1200, ext. 5002.

The park is on the site of Lord Stirling’s 18th-century mansion, and visitors have the opportunity to tour the mansion’s existing cellars.   The site also contains the ruins of two 1840s brick farm buildings.
